Osteoblast which are responsible for bone formation infuses bone with calcium, which strengthen them. Exercise causes osteoblast to release calcium at a higher rate to bones used in exercise further strengthing those bones. Physical stress during exercise stimulates bone growth. When pressure is exerted on skeletal muscles, or the muscles that are attached to the bone, the skeletal muscles produces more collagen fibres and deposit mineral salt into bones both of which hepls them grow.
